We’re excited to announce that Fort Bend Municipal Utility District No. 165 (the District) will be replacing the current recycling bins with larger 48-gallon carts. This upgrade reflects the District’s continued dedication to improving the recycling program and making it even more convenient for you to support a sustainable future.
Key Dates to Remember:
- Saturday, August 31: After the recycling service is completed, Best Trash will begin collecting all the recycling bins. Please ensure your bin is left out so it can be picked up.
- Wednesday, September 4: The new, larger 48-gallon recycling carts will be delivered to your address. Each cart will come with a cart hanger that provides important information about the new carts and recycling guidelines.

This is your new LARGER recycle cart to REPLACE the smaller recycle bin!
The green recycle cart is NOT an extra trash container and will NOT be emptied as such. If items exceed container capacity, please place them adjacent to the cart well marked as recyclable materials.
RECYCLE IS COLLECTED ONCE PER WEEK ON SATURDAY
** The recycle crew will remove your red bin and a delivery crew will deliver the recycle cart **
Please have the recycle out at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
RECYCLEABLE ITEMS: PAPER (including cardboard), PLASTICS (1-5,7), ALUMINUM and TIN cans and GLASS (all colors)
Best Trash takes great pride in our recycle program. Ensuring the best recycle program for our customers takes time and effort on both sides. Please remove caps, liquids and food products from inside the containers. Please only use the provided recycle cart for recyclable materials. The green recycle cart is NOT an extra trash container and will NOT be emptied as such. If items exceed container capacity, please place them adjacent to the cart well marked as recyclable materials. Cardboard is recyclable, please break down all boxes flat, and place them next to the recycle cart for collection.
CART CARE & MAINTENANCE: Best Trash will provide each residence with ONE recycling cart. Best Trash will replace any carts that are defective or otherwise become unusable due to normal wear and tear. Lost or stolen carts can be replaced for a fee by contacting Best Trash.
