Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 165 will be performing scheduled tree maintenance on District-owned property in early January 2026 as part of its ongoing efforts to protect neighboring properties and public safety.
As trees mature, some develop growth patterns that extend beyond District boundaries and into adjacent properties. In certain locations, roots or overhanging limbs may encroach into neighboring lots and have the potential to impact fences, sidewalks, drainage features, underground utilities, or nearby structures. After professional evaluation by a certified arborist, the District has identified a limited number of trees that require removal due to their location and the potential risk they pose. While the District prioritizes preserving healthy trees whenever feasible, removal is sometimes the most responsible preventative measure.
The District understands the importance of trees to the community and does not take removals lightly. All work will be performed on District property using professional standards and best practices, with the goal of maintaining a safe, well-managed environment for residents and surrounding properties.
