Fort Bend MUD 165 is taking steps to help residents protect their bicycles from theft. On Saturday, April 4th, the district will host a Bike Etching Event designed to deter bike theft and make it easier to recover stolen bikes.

Bike etching involves engraving a unique identification number onto your bicycle’s frame. This simple, free service helps law enforcement identify your bike if it’s ever lost or stolen and prevents resale at pawn shops or online marketplaces.

Residents are encouraged to bring their bikes to the event, where staff and volunteers will etch ID numbers and provide information on bike safety and theft prevention. It’s a quick process, and a great way to secure your investment.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, April 4th
Time: 11AM - 1PM
Location: 20400 Sandstone Cavern, Richmond, TX 77407 (The Clubhouse)

Protect your property and give yourself peace of mind. We hope to see you and your bike on April 4th!
